CHARITY TO RAISE MONEY FOR THIRD WORLD COUNTRY
Non-Profit Organization Hosts Soccer Tournament
Detroit, Michigan – September 26, 2006 - Charity Cup, a non-profit organization, will host a soccer tournament on October 13-14, 2006 at the Total Soccer Arena in Wixom, Michigan. Teams can register at www.charitycup.com for men’s and women’s six versus six competitions or men’s eleven versus eleven competition. The event fee is $60 per player, which includes two lunches and a t-shirt.
Ten years ago, two young men decided to use a tool—soccer—to help underprivileged people half a world away. Out of the love for the game and people that benefit from healthy competition, the annual Charity Cup Soccer Tournaments emerged, and have been hosted on the East and West coasts consistently for the past 7 years.
The proceeds from this event are used to assist underprivileged people in Moldova, a country in Eastern Europe, and Honduras, located in South America. Thousands of orphans, widows, elderly, and infirm people have already been assisted through this means.
This event is not only for soccer lovers; spectators are officially invited as well. If one person can make a difference, imagine what two, three, four, people, or even four hundred people can do! All cheerers, water carriers, hand clappers, encouragement yellers, and curious spectators are welcome.
